Job Description
CDG is looking to expand our experience as an Aerospace Technical Publications and
Maintenance Engineering provider to the Marine Industry. To that end, we are looking for
a Marine Industry Practice Leader. This is a key position requiring multiple levels of
expertise and intense knowledge of the Engineering and Technical Publications requirements
of the commercial marine industry. Knowledge and experience with commercial shipping
operations, marine engineering, and ship building processes is strongly preferred.
The successful candidate will have a minimum of fifteen years in the marine industry,
and will have an expert understanding of marine industry engineering, maintenance regulations,
maintenance document types and industry standards. A history of direct customer interaction
and a network of industry contacts are considered an important asset for this position.
- To actively mine & pursue new opportunities in marine domain.
- Work with the sales team to develop customer opportunities in a proactive way.
- Help in developing and submitting winning proposals.
- Responsible for delivery of Design and technical publication projects in this domain.
- Own P&L for this new domain.
- Recruit, build and manage a multi-skilled team of 100+ Engineers.
- Develop a strategy road map to establish marine Practice as a leading player in the Engineering Services industry.
- Develop an eco-system of technology, resourcing partners for this domain.
- Develop, mentor and train engineers in the marine domain & tools.
Requirements:
- Bachelors Degree.
- Familiar with Naval Architecture and Engineering.
- Extensive background with Commercial Ship Operations, Shipbuilding Processes and Marine Classifications, Surveys and Regulations.
- Knowledge of the following functional roles such as Master mariners, Chief Engineers, Cargo Officers, ETOs (Electrical Technical Officer), Process Engineers.
- Knowledge in Ship maintenance and Dry Dock operations.
- Experience with Design Engineering, Technical Illustration and Publishing Specialists.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to create white papers, presentations, glossaries and artifacts.
- Exposure to ISO certification process.
- Due to legal requirements, you must be able to provide documentation indicating that you are a US Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or other approved status) to be considered for this position.
